Praseodymium Oxide

Praseodymium Oxide

  • Molecular formula:Pr6O11
  • Molecular weight:1021.44
  • CAS No:12037-29-5
  • Properties:Black brown powder; Insoluble in water; Easy to dissolve in inorganic acids and absorb moisture in the air.
  • Application:Praseodymium oxide is an important raw material for yellow pigments in ceramic glazes. It is added to Y-shaped zeolite molecular sieves in the form of praseodymium neodymium enrichment to prepare petroleum cracking catalysts, which can improve the activity, selectivity, and stability of the catalyst. It is also used to manufacture rare earth permanent magnet alloys, metal praseodymium, and other compounds of praseodymium, and as an additive in cerium polishing powder.
